Vishal Surya Madhavan is a highly skilled Backend Engineer with over 4 years of experience in the software engineering industry. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Big Data and Machine Learning at the University of California, Riverside. Vishal has a strong background in financial services, having worked as a Software Engineer for JP Morgan Chase in Bangalore, India, where he gained experience in understanding business needs and converting them into technology projects/products. Vishal is proficient in Java, Spring, Hibernate, and React JS, and has experience in developing a FUZZY STRING MATCH algorithm to match and retrieve relevant responses to user requests with fuzzy matching/contained keywords. He has also trained word embeddings using word2vec to develop a querying engine that enables searching for relevant responses from the bot. Vishal is currently working as a Masters Student at smartbot360, where he is responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions to improve the performance of the bot. In addition to his work experience, Vishal has also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the undergraduate course CS210- Introduction to data structures using c++. He has monitored programming lab sessions and coding assignments for a class of over 100 students. Vishal has a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Computer Science & engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy.
